1. Scope of Application
This policy clearly governs the financial relationships between student users ("Students”) and tutor users ("Tutors”) regarding the teaching services provided through the iTutors.mx platform (hereinafter, the "Platform”). This policy forms an integral part of the iTutors.mx General Terms and Conditions of Use. Acceptance of the Terms implies the express understanding and acceptance of the provisions outlined herein. Capitalized terms not defined in this document shall have the meaning assigned to them in the Terms of Service.
 
2. Billing Currency and Exchange Risk
All transactions made through the Platform are processed in the currencies available at the time of purchase. Currently, the accepted currencies are Mexican Pesos (MXN) and US Dollars (USD).
iTutors.mx shall not be responsible for any additional charges, bank commissions, or currency fluctuations. Users assume full responsibility for any such costs.
 
3. Platform Usage Fee ("iTutors.mx Commission”)
iTutors.mx charges Tutors a fee for each lesson delivered through the Platform. This fee is automatically deducted from the payment received for each confirmed lesson.
iTutors.mx reserves the right to modify the applicable commission at any time, with prior notice sent via email or posted on the website.
iTutors.mx may also launch promotions, special plans, or differentiated fees without prior notice.
 

4. Refund and Rescheduling Policies
4.1. Refund Requests
Requests must be submitted via email to iTutors@itutors.mx or through the Platform’s designated module within 24 hours after the lesson.
Requests submitted after this period will automatically be considered invalid.

4.2. Late Cancellations
Refunds or reschedules will not be granted if the cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the scheduled time.
Rescheduling requests must be submitted at least 12 hours prior to the scheduled lesson.

4.3. Tutor Discretion
Refunds are subject to the Tutor’s discretion and are not mandatory.
If approved, the refund will be issued as credit to the Student’s e-wallet within the Platform.

4.4. Refund Exclusions
Refunds will not be granted in the following cases:

If a confirmed trial lesson was not conducted, the User may choose between:

4.6. Time Limit for Refunds
Requests will be reviewed within a 30-calendar-day period.
Refunds are only available within 30 days from the original payment date (unless otherwise specified for subscriptions).
Only one refund will be issued per request.

5. Subscriptions
Policies applicable to subscriptions are detailed in the Subscription Terms and Conditions available on the Platform.
No refunds will be issued for unused balances once the term has expired or the account is deleted.
 
6. Inactive Accounts and Account Deletion
iTutors.mx may suspend accounts that have been inactive for more than 180 days, and any remaining balance will expire.
If the account is deleted voluntarily, the remaining balance will also be forfeited.
 
7. Payment Processing Services
iTutors.mx operates with external payment gateways (e.g., Stripe), integrated via secure iframes, using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption.
We reserve the right to change the payment service provider at any time, always ensuring the use of secure encryption methods.
 

8. Accepted Payment Methods
Currently accepted payment methods include:

Auto Recharge: In package purchases, the Platform may activate automatic recharges when the balance is depleted. This setting can be disabled or adjusted in the user's account settings.

9. Financial Responsibility Limitation
iTutors.mx is not a financial institution, and does not offer financial products, services, or advice.
All transactions on the Platform are strictly intended to facilitate educational services.
Use of the Platform for illegal, fraudulent, or otherwise unauthorized purposes is strictly prohibited.
 
10. Payment Disputes
Any fees arising from payment disputes, chargebacks, or reversals initiated by the User or their bank/payment provider shall be the sole responsibility of the User.
